Random Thought #1:
I think some people fall in love with the idea of love as an escape. If someone else loves them and wants to learn to get to know them, it saves them the trouble of having to get to know themselves.

As I think you've alluded to before, some people are afraid to know themselves....there are things about myself I'm sure I'd rather not know.
Interesting... I definitely think people look to love to quench that human need to feel loveable. Eventually, we all have to learn to love ourselves, though.
